Christmas markets

Christmas Markets are a traditional event organized by BVV at the Brno Exhibition Centre. It is a sales exhibition where you can buy various types of goods, such as fashion, toys, decorations, household items, cosmetics, and more. You can also admire handicrafts, exhibitions, or musical performances. The Christmas markets take place every year in December and are the perfect place to buy Christmas gifts for the whole family. 

With Christmas approaching, you can enjoy the Christmas markets and this unique atmosphere in other locations as well. The dynamic Freedom Square, the calm and cozy Dominican Square, the romantic and stylish courtyard of the Old Town Hall... The Christmas markets will create the true Christmas atmosphere in the streets of Brno. You can expect Christmas trees, nativity scenes, festively lit streets, and a beautifully decorated city…

Each square always has its own specific atmosphere. In Freedom Square, besides the Christmas tree, there is a winter bar, a large design consumption zone at the fountain, and a passing Christmas tram. You will hear daily musical and cultural programs that prove Brno truly deserves the title of UNESCO Creative City of Music. The Brno City of Music UNESCO office also wants to start presenting individual significant amateur musical activities that have found their place in Brno. During the opening of Brno's Christmas festivities, children's choirs will perform; the first Advent Sunday will be dedicated to academic choir singing; the second to traditional mixed and women's choirs; the third Advent Sunday will feature gospel singing; and the fourth will showcase Brno's church choirs.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS will take place from December 6 to December 15, 2024.
